Julie Starr Hook resides in South Salem, Oregon, along with her husband, three children and two step children. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Rhetoric Speech and Communications from the University of Oregon in 1989. After graduating, she worked as a sales representative for a food broker for six years. It was there that she learned space management techniques and found success in marketing products in the grocery industry. After the birth of her second child in 1996, Julie decided to become a stay-at-home mom and also began exploring her interest in organizing homes. Not long after, she began speaking at various groups about the importance of organization. Julie brings a fresh approach to the area and idea of organization. In 2003, she began writing a weekly column on organization for the Statesman Journal, Salem / Keizer's newspaper. She also formed her own organizational business in 2003, Five Starr Organizing, where she is able to bring a fresh approach to the idea of organization. At only $45.00 an hour, she has a steady, loyal client base and is passionate about her company.
